This is the rear of the drivers seat. Notice that it is multi colored, as a REDYE
attempt was made.
The original color was Buckskin but the owner with no other options for custom
color offered by the technician had to settle for the gray spray paint type of
coating. This is what happens when you do not have to option of a Custom Matched
color. Note the cigarette burn in the console.
We found a donor car and removed the rear seats. They where in better shape
than the original which had no attention or very little during it's lifetime.
This is the right door panel. You can see the difference in color between the
Buckskin and the gray which we are fairly sure was lacquer type dye in a spray
can.
This was noted when we started stripping the dye. The tell tale signs where
splotching of the coating where the spray can "SPIT". The other
noticeable indications was that the technician started on the drivers side and
ran out as the reached the rear seating area. Notice what we are saying by the
coloring on the arm rest in the right rear of the car. |
