Yes I know that we do Interior Restoration and this is the exterior but its
my Web Page and I can do this, besides Krysti Said it was OK.
Here is what we started with:
as you can see the "FLORIDA TIN WORMS" had a Bar-B-Q. Have you ever
looked at a car and saw just a LITTLE Rust WELL her is what was under the paint
We used 60 grit paper to cut down to here. we then "PAINTED" on "OSPHO"
this is a Kill the rust and make it metal again. This is NOT NAVAL JELLY this
stuff works and is a STRONG chemical and does a fine job. I Brushed it on and
let it sit for 2 days. I then replaced the metal and primed the area. Yes we did
use a LITTLE Body Filler to fill in the weld marks and grind marks. This is waht
it looked like after the primer and "NITRO GLAZE" (the red stuff).
We did feather edge the area before we painted the repair. Since
"ELIZA" will be getting a new paint job back to the original
"Cobalt Blue" we went with a close match. if my matches where this bad
I would be out of business.
What is wrong is that it is to RED and the Cobalt is more Yellow.
Called it a day at this point. |
